The Doctor Spinnerbait Awakens

April 11th, 2010 The Doctor Spinnerbait Awakens Robert William Osler started creating his first lures in 1984 under the brand Invisible Lures. He then supplied his products to locals, such as jigs, spinnerbaits and stinger treble hooks.

He began mass producing his lures in 2005 under the brand Ko-Man-Chi.

The meaning of Ko-Man-Chi is:
Ko: "To take in eagerly the spirit of fishing and the great outdoors!"
Man: "A place replete with fish."
Chi: "A conduit that transports the mind to a place of great peace and tranquility. A renewed sense of spirit."

In 2010, a new brand was born: the "Doctor Spinnerbait". The concept for a revolutionary Flexible Spinnerbait started in 2005, and began taking form about a year and a half later in 2006.

I was trying to figure it out and then the time wasn't right. So, I put the project aside for 3 1/2 years inside a barn on a farm 3 1/2 hours from where I live. All my templates and custom "R" bender were laid to rest in that barn. I knew it was going to come back to life, I just did not know when. On April 11th, 2010, I woke up, turned to my girlfriend Susie Bea and told her: "We have 4 months to get ready for ICast!"

She had no idea what I was talking about, but quickly my ideas and inventions came back to life, taking form in a new dimension of in-line lures, technical spinnerbaits and buzzbaits.

By using the flexible wire form, I was able to create different presentations. More, or less, vibration resulted by either extending or reducing the arms of the spinnerbait.

All together, the flexible wire form created more vibrations than normal stainless steel wire forms, as well as more fish catching success. We now proudly offer our standard line of Doctor Spinnerbaits to retail stores as well as custom Spinnerbaits to anglers that demand something different.
